Philosophy
Our purpose is to establish an on-line haven and professional community for couples who are planning their weddings and wedding professionals who are looking to be recognized for their professional, artistic, and unique approach to weddings. With this in mind, we strive to be a trusted and high quality resource on the Internet, providing brides with valuable modern wedding content and a listing of the top wedding professionals in the industry.
Our approach — listing only select wedding vendors based on a standard of excellence and publishing modern and realistic content — exemplifies our commitment to the bride and to the wedding industry as a whole. Brides understand that becoming a Wedding-Club.com member is not easy and they appreciate our wedding professionals' dedication to professionalism and excellence in the wedding community.
Because quality vendors are important to us, we invite only experienced wedding vendors to join our community. Our membership guidelines as of September 2000 (revised August 2004) include:
- The wedding business has been operating for at least one year
- The business is licensed in at least one state (a state or Federal registration number is sufficient proof)
- A dedicated phone line for your business
- A past history of at least ten weddings
- A reference list
- Promotional literature and web site approved by Wedding-Club.com after review
- A fully functional web site with no broken links, "under construction signs", or outdated information
- A fully functional e-mail address dedicated to your business
- Personal interview (which will be published) with a Wedding-Club.com consultant
- A commitment to answer all inquiries from brides within 48 hours
The final decision regarding your acceptance into the club rests with the editorial staff, in consultation with the Wedding-Club.com consultant who interviews you. Please note that meeting all of the above criteria does not guarantee that you will be accepted.
